Strawberry Boy and Tales Of Grimm have maintained status as clear tied favourites at a quote of $7 each in 2015 Scone Cup betting markets with Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of Pheidon and San Diego; currently sharing the second line at $7.50 odds.

Will Strawberry Boy justify favouritism, will Tales Of Grimm return to the winner’s circle or will one of their talented rivals find the 2015 Scone Cup line in the clear this afternoon?

1st

Pheidon ($7.50)

Pheidon returned to racing for an impressive victory in the TAB.com.au Handicap (1600m) on May 6th, has been confirmed to be partnered by in-form hoop Blake Shinn and offers exceptional value for money in 2015 Scone Cup betting markets at current odds. Posting five wins and as many minors through 16 career starts, the Al Maher gelding posted several commendable results over the Spring Carnival; following up a credible sixth in the Group 1 Epsom Handicap (1600m) with minors in each of the Listed James Boag’s Premium Stakes (1800m) and Group 3 Eclipse Stakes (1800m) most notably.

2nd

Tales Of Grimm ($7)

Talented import Tales Of Grimm has been unable to make much of an impact in his last two starts but is sure to relish a step-up in distance for the Scone Cup and looks likely to receive the run of the race from barrier 7. Securing three wins and two minors through 19 career starts so far, the Distorted Humour gelding is a proven performer in Australia having taken out his debut event with completed ease on February 7th. Charged with carrying just 54kgs, Tales Of Grimm will be partnered by renowned jockey Craig Williams.

3rd

Medcaut ($10)

Medcaut has returned to great form this time, and offers exceptional value for money after being blocked for a run and tenth in the One Solutions BM95 (1350m) on May 9th. One of several leading Godolphin chances in the 2015 Scone Cup, Medcaut won TheRaces.com.au BM85 (1400m) by two lengths first-up; progressing to third in the Royal Randwick 100 (1400m) in his only other start this time. Sure to find a good position early from barrier 2, Christian Reith will take the ride on Medcaut this afternoon.
